"The Most Holy Virgin" told Lucia in a vision that….."With the Holy Rosary, we will save and sanctify ourselves, console Our Lord, and obtain the salvation of many souls.  Tell the people to gather as a family and pray the Rosary every day, especially for World Peace."

As a testimony to our Catholic Faith, let us join in this crusade, by making a promise to honor “Our Lady of Fatima’s” request of praying the Most Holy Rosary every day in order to save souls and obtain peace throughout the world.

How to pray the Rosary

First Five Saturdays

Saint Leo the Great Celebrates the First Five Saturdays

by the Recitation of Rosary after

8:00 AM Mass every First Saturday of the month.

Saint Leo the Great Parish's Marian Groups

Along with our many committees and parish organizations, Saint Leo the Great Church has many opportunities for parishioners (children, teens and adults) to become involved with Marian groups. For a complete list of all our organizations please click here, or follow the Organizations link on the left of this page.

Legion of Mary

Meets Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in Room 1 at Saint Leo the Great Church.

The purpose of the Legion of Mary is to assist the Priests in their apostolic work of saving and sanctifying souls through evangelization and the performance of the spiritual works of mercy in the parish. The Legion draws its inspiration from the realization of the immense intercessory power of Our Lady with her Divine Son, and from the conviction that she is the divinity appointed Mediatrix of all Graces. We pray the rosary together and report on our visits and efforts to support the needs of our parish. For more infomation please contact Beth Tomlinson at 394-5127.

The World Apostolate of Fatima Prayer Group

Meets Mondays at 7:20 to 8:45 PM at the home of Mary Anne Fanale.

The Fatima Prayer Cell of Holiness is a small spiritual gathering for prayer, praying the Rosary and reading from materials of messages from Our Lady of Fatima or memoirs of Sister Lucia of Fatima. Each member tries to grow in holiness by responding to Blessed Mother's requests for prayer, penance and sacrifice in a spirit of reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners. For more information or directions please call 285-3641.

Marian Prayer Group

Meets Wednesdays at 9:00 to 10:00 AM in Saint Leo the Great Chapel, in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

Recognizing that our world is desperately in need of Peace, we come together to answer Our Lady's call for several local and worldwide intentions, as well as our own personal intentions. We follow a format that Our Lady dictated to a prayer group in Medjugorje in the early days of her apparitions that began in June 1981. We pray a Consecration to Jesus and Mary, followed by the Rosary, the Magnificat, the Memorare and the Prayer to St. Michael. We use a prayer paper to guide our prayers and petitions. We end with 10-15 minutes of silent Adoration. For More information please contact Helen McMonagle 898-8864.

Armata Bianca Children’s Rosary Group

Meets Wednesdays from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in Saint Leo the Great Church Rooms 3 & 4 and Blessed Sacrament Chapel.

“Armata Bianca seeks to teach children to pray and do penance and to help them realize how truly powerful their prayers are before God the Father. Through its primary actions, love for the Blessed Sacrament, particularly in Eucharistic Adoration, and love for our Blessed Mother, particularly through the rosary, Armata Bianca seeks to inspire its members and their families to live according to the will of God in perfect charity.” (By-Laws, Armata Bianca) Each week from October through May, the children, ages 4 through 12, gather during Adoration to pray the rosary. In addition to their own prayers, children also pray for the conversion of sinners, holiness within the family, the unborn, peace in the world, and the intentions of Our Holy Father. For more information please contact Kelly Lynch at 538-6061.
