Antioch Weekend

Dear Parents of Students currently in 6th, 7th, & 8th grades,

I’m sure we each remember middle & high school vividly—the good, the bad & the ugly! It’s a time of great change, growth and maturing. It’s also a time of searching—in their friendships, their families and in their faith. Antioch is about helping to lead our young church into a deeper friendship with Jesus, to see their special place in the family of God, and to own their faith as they either prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation or live out the call to discipleship that Confirmation asks of them. (And us!)

Your child has been invited to join us this summer for this fun & faith-filled weekend. This would be a wonderful way for them to make new friends in our parish and to spend time with old friends. I invite you to make this a priority in your family planning and then to follow through with promptly returning the paperwork to the Youth Ministry Office. I know how summers are and how time gets away from us, so please fill out the Antioch papers (there are extra’s in the church’s gathering space & on the parish website) and drop them in the mail or drop them off at the rectory as soon as possible.

May the Lord bless you & keep you,
Mary Ellen Reitmeyer
Coordinator of Youth Ministry
